Immerse yourself in an environment sure to rejuvenate your photographic creativity: the South African Safari. This wild excursion will evoke your excitement about photography by stimulating your senses in every way with the sounds and textures of the safari, the smell and taste of traditional African meals, and by viewing remarkable animals in their natural habitat. Your photography career couldn't ask for a more exhilarating event.
Each day will include two trips out on the South African Safari with plenty of rest and relaxation in between at the luxurious camp. The wildlife in South Africa is abundant, which will create plenty of photo opportunities during our daily excursions. Because we will be in a vast area we cannot guarantee the sightings of specific animals, however, it is common to see some of the following: elephant, lion, rhino, cape buffalo, giraffe, zebra, leopard, wildebeest, steenbok, duiker, leopard tortoise, vulture, bush baby, red heartebeest, gemsock, dung beetles, civet, nyala, banded mongoose, scrub hare, baboon, vervet monkey, white-fronted bee-eater, kingfisher, lilac-breasted roller owl, hornbill, rock monitor, water monitor, and giant plated lizard.
Following the daily trips on the safari, we will be leading workshops each day relating to your needs about lighting, composition, creativity, marketing, branding, and more. This Safari will be led by Kevin and Tricia Dooley of Idube Photo Safari. The first night in South Africa we will be staying at the Lesedi Cultural Village. During our Safari we will be at the Thakadu River Camp. Both locations provide luxurious and traditionally-styled accommodations for you to enjoy. Chalets are equipped with queen-size beds and mosquito netting, a kettle for coffee and tea, a fully-plumbed bathroom, drinking water, private deck, a small safe, towels and linens, and a sitting area with a couch. The main lodge also has internet access, but likely a bit slower than we are accustomed to.

Meals do not include adult beverages. Attendees responsible for their own airfare.
