This DAVIS LOVE STORY workshop is a 3 day experience of a lifetime. Join Bob as he photographs the wedding of Tiffany + Miles at the southern chic, Cedarwood Weddings in Nashville, Tennessee. Tiffany's mom, Arline, is a photographer that attended our Vegas Love Story workshop in 2008, and assisted us with our 2nd wedding workshop in St. Simon's Island in 2009. Arline is now a dear friend of ours and well, it's her daughter's turn to get married, and Tiffany + Miles want to share their wedding day with you! They all come from a family of photographers! Who else would be this crazy to allow 15 photographers to be educated during their wedding day!
So, leave your pens and pencils behind, and bring what you love... your cameras! Bob will show you how he gets the shot mastering your flash and camera settings. You will be shooting with him as he reveals all his techniques and helps you improve the quality of your images right in camera. He'll show you how to become a seeker of light and how to use creative lighting techniques to make each image sing.
DAY ONE begins with a meet and greet and flash lecture at the southern chic, Cedarwood Weddings in Nashville, Tennessee, then onto an evening shoot with Tiffany + Miles.
DAY TWO we will meet back at Cedarwoods Weddings and begin photographing Tiffany + Miles getting ready, making sure to cover all the detail shots as well. Then onto the first look where Miles will see Tiffany for the first time in her dress. We'll follow that with a beautiful photo walk where we'll capture some amazing images and fun group portraits. Onto the ceremony and reception where their willl be 100+ guests, for the formal "I do" in a beautiful field with vintage pews for the guests and plenty of room for all of us photographers. DAY THREE will begin at Cedarwood Weddings where I, (Dawn) will be sharing, in detail, how we took our small town business to success and how you can too. I will share how I raised our prices to meet the client who appreciates us for our talents, how we handle client meetings, how we win over our client's respect. We will review images from the wedding day and Bob will critique. I will show you how I retouch Bob images to make them sing! We will discuss how we manage our workflow and post production process, along with the decisions we made on our branding, and our marketing approach.
You will receive a complete workbook to keep.
In the later afternoon, we'll head off to do a "Trash The Dress" with Tiffany + Miles, along with a few of their friends who will model. We'll have several hours to take some of the most incredible photographs. And we'll have more time to review your off-camera flash techniques that you learned in the previous days.
